About the Clean Truck Check Program
The Clean Truck Check (formerly known as HD I/M) is a California emissions profram designed to reduce pollution from heavy duty diesel and alternative fuel trucks with a GVWR over 14,000 lb. CARB now requires these vehicles to complete tests using a certified smoke opacity meter.
